The difference to even 7 strength is only 4-6 build points and with 25-point or 20-point it's easy to afford. Vivisectionist literally doesn't need high int because you have zero things that have DCs, normal alchemists have DCs on bombs but vivisectionist doesn't even have that, and alchemists won't cast spells on enemies.

Vivisectionist build thus gets a second attack faster and better attack compared to the Thug/Fighter variant. Saves are nearly identical, with 12/7/1 on Vivi vs 12/6/2 on Thugter.

The vivisectionist Is an excellent archetype that hold up very well. There are two builds that really stand out for vivisectionist, a poisoner and a natural attacker. Any poisoner in Pathfinder has some issues to overcome and you'll always be foiled by some enemy types but vivisectionist/ toxicant is the king of poisoning mooks.

Probably mutagen. Afaik the highest damage melee build in the game is the trip vivi. It's built around using the mastery fauchard and coak of the winterwolf. the build stacks bites, with feral mutagen, motherless and dragon disciple, each bite is a free trip attempt with that cloak, it procs and insane amount of AoO.

The only reason to go rogue over vivisectionist is the level 10 (?) advanced talent that gives a free attack on effect (opportunist)(vivisectionist does not get this specific talent despite gaining advanced rogue talents as well). Bombs per day are limited. vivisectionist adds sneak attack, normally in melee, and not against ghosts, can't change energy type. Sneak attacks are not limited per day. Kind of felt like a tiny optional superboss fight. You can win the duel easily if you exploit a bug. The fight is purposely weighted against Valerie, but you can win it.
